Aviv Rouda, LCSW 118831

Aviv supports survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence in transforming self-criticism into self-compassion, rebuilding safety, and practicing clear, confident boundaries. Their style is gentle, empowering, and real—rooted in authenticity, active listening, and just enough humor to make hard work feel human.

A second focus of Aviv’s work is perinatal mental health. They move with new and expecting parents through fertility challenges, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—helping to calm panic and anxiety, process trauma, and navigate identity shifts and relationship changes.

Aviv works most often with queer, trans, and questioning folks; women and nonbinary people; people who are new to therapy; teens and young adults; people healing codependency and self-esteem wounds; and those exploring sexuality, ethical non-monogamy, or concerns about substance use. They also welcome people in larger bodies and anyone seeking a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Clinically, Aviv integrates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), somatic (body-based) therapy, narrative therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), motivational interviewing, and safety planning. They believe systemic oppression profoundly impacts mental health, and that therapy can be a place to co-create resistance, liberation, and lasting change—so you can feel comfortable in your skin and offer yourself genuine care.

Clients describe Aviv as warm, collaborative, extroverted, and down-to-earth. Together, you’ll build healthier connections, steadier nervous-system tools, and a kinder inner voice.
